Health & safety at work is a basic right; and there is clear evidence and experience that without appropriate regulation & enforcement, mere lip service is paid to those rights.

It is workers, especially young workers, who will pay the price of this attack on OHS, with their health and well being and even their lives.

Shame on any government that ignores that evidence to value profits over people, & puts ideology in place of integrity and caring.

Shame!

Congratulations to the collective workers that organise through trade unions to oppose, expose and defeat such villainy.

Governments may come and go but the workers, united, will never be defeated.

No fan of the EDL but it seems rather hypocritical of the trade Union movement to want to ban them from holding demonstrations and rallies.

Freedom of speech for all.

The Unions are showing the courage and leadership the British Political Parties lack.
This motion shows the Palestinians they are not alone in their struggles for justice.
Well done...

You could not invent this nonsense. The TUC is debating pensions and threatening chaos in the coming months if they cannot get what they want and, meanwhile, they find the time to note that the "attack" againsy Libya is wrong. Do they listen to the news? The attack was successful and the people of Libya have deposed a despot who, to the end, was murdering his own people. Beyond belief.

Excellent motion from Unite calling for peaceful negotiations and an end to western military interventions.

The Socialist group in the European Parliament has also called for recognition of the Palestinian state today.

The Histadrut represents Israeli Arabs too.

Is the intention to exclude them from any review and ensure only Jewish Israelis are subject to TUC sanctions?

One sided JB ? Should we be even handed between the mugger and his victim?
Israel is the illegal occupier, Israel violates the Geneva convention by moving settlers into occupied land. When it comes to slaughtering civilians, Israel are the past masters. Israeli deaths at Palestinian hande are rare, but 1400 palestinians were slaughtered in the operation Cast Lead attacks on Gaza alone.
Security for Israel? Palestine has no army, no Navy, not a single plane. Israel has the worlds 5th largest army and is a nuclear power. In danger? pull the one with bells on

What an appallingly one-sided motion. There can indeed be '..no peace in the region without justice for the Palestinians', but neither can there be peace without security for the people of Israel.
Where is the call for an end to attacks on Israeli civilians?

Why on earth is the PFA dragging domestic polictics into something which is essentially about football/FIFA politics?

Cheap, cheap politicking by an Englishman who shows no sensitivity to the autonomy of the FOUR British associations.
